In a Funk

  • flies
  • dull pencils
  • cooking dinner
  • a messy house
  • answering or talking on the phone
  • being 50 pounds overweight
  • the cost of gas
  • not having enough money
  • working at a job I don't love
  • parsnips, stewed tomatoes, beets, mushy "Thanksgiving" squash
  • milk (except soy)
  • running out of Diet Pepsi
  • social gatherings
  • things with too many "steps" to them for me to follow
  • crabby neighbors
  • living in town
  • car payments
  • driving a car I don't love
  • negative people
  • PMS
  • being too busy to think
  • nursing homes
  • getting old
  • ironing
  • putting clean laundry away
  • conflict of any type
  • having NOOOOOOO self discipline AT ALL
  • being wet
  • not being able to just say NO
  • being too easy on my kids and my dogs

There. I should stop before I dig a hole I can't get out of. I would hate that too.

You blog entry doesn't look like a hole. It looks like a ladder - and climbing ladder is FUN! Especially when you don't step on every rung as you climb.

Wow, I feel so much better, I hate all that stuff too but you forgot to add two of my most hated things ever... Taxes and Static electricity! ;)

You just inspired me to make a list of my own and then counteract it with everything I love. ;)

I try not to think of all those things and a lot more. I guess I should face up to them... or just go back to bed? I think I would rather stay in my pj's and go back to bed and read. I'm so bad!

I think I must be riding the same bus as you...I'd go anywhere right now to be somewhere besides in this part of my life lately..My friends keep telling me to keep going, it'll be alright. Some of it will never be alright again..I just have to figure out how to get around that...
